There once was a young farm boy who lived on wide open land
He used to love playing with toys, trucks, and sticks in the sand He built roads, bridges, and castles with moats He fashioned mountains with streams and oceans with boats He built forts with his friends and then they would play They could easily stay outside for most of the day Cowboys and SWAT teams, police, and the spies They were always on lookout for bad guys with lies When the sun went down and the dinner bell rang, “Dinner is ready” his mom always sang A prayer at the table just all of them, seven A family united; it could have been heaven But after supper the headlines would break How long would the war last, for goodness sake? It got the boy questioning, “There must be a new way." The hate and the blood I don’t like seeing every single day And so he set out on a journey for truth He had all kinds of time, he was still in his youth He searched for the best way all over the Earth The last thing he wanted was a new religion to birth “What is peace?” He questioned in the back of his mind He asked every day until an answer was kind He poured through books and listened to tapes He searched for nuggets of knowing for anything he could scrape He talked to all kinds of people when he taught English in schools And listened to sermons that saved him from blues He searched for wisdom, for that was his gold He would do it for Ever or until he grew old And old he became before he knew it Life passed him right by as he studied right through it He still didn’t have all the answers but he continued to search He had gone through life but wasn’t willing to leave in a lurch His questions weren’t answered; There was more truth to find He didn’t like waiting in that long long long truth line And then one day, from the line he stepped out He had gotten his answer and no longer had doubts He realized he found what he was looking for He never even had to go out of his door He was looking for Truth and Love and he didn’t have to roam They were right under his roof, in his very own home He settled back down in his favorite old chair And he talked to his wife, the one with red hair Maybe it’s my fault, did you know all along? Is that why you played Danit’s Presense song? I’m here and it’s now and there’s no place to be I love what I’m seeing right in front of and within me But I’ve been all these places and seen all these things I’ve seen what life is and the abundance it brings I learned how to imagine and I planned for the years I learned about truth and love and I know why the fears It’s all the stories and going to hell So I’m creating a new story so all can feel well I’m putting my drawing, teaching, and planning to use I’m making lots of fun rhymes like I were Dr. Seuss I’ll tell you a new story and how it unfolds I need to do it quickly before I’m too old That boy became a man and he still wanted to play Not with weapons but with visions that teachers okayed He had lots of ideas and wanted to get started But his story was special and not for faint hearted He learned from history and wouldn’t do it alone He would do it for love… and all the boys groaned But it’s different this time guys please rest assured In this adventure story, the planet is cured He imagined his Queen sitting with him there on a throne They would listen to the parents while kids licked snow cones They sat in a big circle and told them their story Do you see what we see? It’s nothing but glory But the people couldn’t see; it was too far ahead How would we tell it, how will it spread? And then in the kingdom their people invented Computers and phones with ideas represented And so they told the story, one piece at a time A video, a picture and usually a rhyme Each day they searched the planet from space Looking for people who care deeply about this place The people all over the world are looking for peace The kind that this time will never cease Day after day the stories they shared And soon they realized that so many cared The people could see far now - to twenty thirty zero With all kinds of space left for billions of heroes The Truth, he realized, he may never know Who am I? Why am I here and where shall I go? The questions he had were from the infinite stream The more that he asked, the more life seemed like a dream He learned all he could from the colorful history And finally decided he’d rather live in the mystery And with his Queen and the people from all over the Earth They pieced the story together of the new planet birth |
