“Good Morning Sweetie,” Pops wrote as he had done for so many moons before. Last night was quite an exciting trip to the meetup at the home of the folks I affectionately call “The Waltons.” Margaret, the host, told me about Barbara Marx Hubbard and the work she has done with her. Margaret has her own website called “ConsciousevolutionBoston.org” and on it she has a “Peace Room” with all kinds of links to the “12 sectors of co-creation,” something that Barbara has coined. If there are war rooms, why shouldn't there be "Peace Rooms" and a lot more of them? This is truly a tremendous resource connecting us together with the world. I spent this morning looking at some of Barbara’s videos. She was way ahead of her time and I think we are catching up. I got some good quotes from Barbara. Apparently Bucky said about Barbara “There is no doubt in my mind that Barbara Marx Hubbard is better informed about futurism than any other human on the planet.” I like how she talks about story. She said that “Our story is a birth of a co-creative universal humanity. Our crisis is the crisis of birth of the emerging species. She asks the question, “What if we were to take a shared movement…what if we had a movement to connect what’s working and show up by 2020 as the beginning of the next stage of human self-evolution? What would you think of that? Why not? Let’s do that.” She concludes her talk with “I would like to join forces with you and everybody on Earth so that by 2020 international Peace day will see the world that’s working, and once we see it, we’ll never go back.” She was making the call way back when, and now everything is in place to significantly advance our evolution by 2030. This is the movement that we can all connect to. Perhaps Barbara will be one of our teachers to show up to assist us as we move forward in Campbell’s ‘Hero’s Journey.” Someone else at the meeting told me about meeting Amma, the mother who hugs many people. He said that her religion is love. I liked that so I looked her up on amma.org and it states, “Amma says that her religion is love. She has never asked anyone to change their religion but only to contemplate the essential principles of their own faith and to try to live accordingly.” I never thought about Love being a religion, but why not. It fits in with the infinite journey and mystery of life. Is this exciting or what? Peace out Pops” |
