Pops and Kma finished their morning call. They were both looking forward to Pops returning ‘home’ to Prescott February 28th, for a midway-to-June-10th visit and to look after their grandson while Kma went away on her ‘Majesty’ retreat in Costa Rica.
During the time Kma is away, Pops will make the final touches to all four of their websites and when he returns to Boston March 19th, it would be time for 'the show to begin,' the way he felt every time he had to walk into a classroom. He would be more than ready, but at the same time feel there was always more he could do. He did all that he could; it wasn’t perfect. He now needed everyone else. Pops liked that the video about toothpaste boxes was asking the questions: “Why does toothpaste come in a box?” and “Who can change this?” Apparently one person began to ask this question out loud and then someone took on the responsibility and others stepped in to share the responsibility. Why? They had good reasons. He says, “Big changes start with ideas.” Someone started asking the question, “How can we all work together as a world to achieve peace and prosperity?” Who asked? Perhaps it was our great grandparents, or grandparents, our parents, our teachers, and ourselves. In response to the big peace and prosperity question, many people working together came up with the big idea of 2030 goals. Big ideas that are good, deserve big changes, especially when they help all involved. The Toothpaste Box video ends with the guy asking, “Are you in?” And all the people who were “in” on the Global Goals kept asking the others who were not in, “Are you in?" What does being "in" mean to you? |
